The Bailout

Yesterday, the United States Senate passed the , what I like to call, "No Banker Left Behind" bill. I hate to say that the most rediculous thing isn't the fact that the government is giving Wall Street more money that 99 percent of America will ever see, it is the things they had to add to get the "public servants" to vote for it. "Provisions related to film and television productions," "Income averaging for amounts received in connection with the ExxonValdez litigation," and "Exemption from excise tax for certain wooden arrows designed for use by children," don't sound like they have anything to do with the "economic rescue plan." Things like that make me furious. Why is it that these idiots can't just vote on one matter. Why do you take something as important as the economy and throw in things like child wooden arrow makers tax exemptions. I realize that not everybody liked the bailout, me included, but how many votes did they win over by adding in provisions for movie makers.

Now to the money issue. I don't know if people realize what this bill is going to do. A snippet of the wording of this bill says:

"The Secretary is authorized to take such actions as the Secretary deems necessary to carry out the authorities in this Act, including, without limitation, the following:
(1) The Secretary shall have direct hiring authority with respect to the appointment of employees to administer this Act.
(2) Entering into contracts, including contracts for services authorized by section 3109 of title 5, United States Code.
(3) Designating financial institutions as financial agents of the Federal Government, and such institutions shall perform all such reasonable duties related to this Act as financial agents of the Federal Government as may be required.
(4) In order to provide the Secretary with the flexibility to manage troubled assets in a manner designed to minimize cost to the taxpayers, establishing vehicles that are authorized, subject to supervision by the Secretary, to purchase, hold, and sell
troubled assets and issue obligations.
(5) Issuing such regulations and other guidance as may be necessary or appropriate to define terms or carry out the authorities or purposes of this Act."

This sounds a lot like the bill that the Senate and House passed to give G.W.B. full reigns to the military in Iraq. Yeah sure we have given the President the most executive power ever and we are giving his Secretary of Treasury complete control over our economy. So lets just give the next President the complete and total control over the entire country. I worked with a guy, Gary, not that long ago that said that if you slowly give more and more power to the President, there is nothing to keep them from pulling a Hitler. I think that if these people continually give more and more power to the executive branch and its goons, that we will end up being run by someone who does not have the best intentions of our country in mind. The only thing that is keeping us from being run by a Hitler, is "The right to a well maintained and well regulated militia." Now we are also about to elect someone to the presidency that is probably going to try to limit or eliminate the types of arms we would need. I do have hope though. Like I said previously, the Congress and the next President over the next 4 years will more than likely do a worse job than the "guy I'd like to have a beer with" did over the last 8, and everyone will finally get their heads out of their asses and realize that the more you injunct the government into the market the more it gets screwed up. Fannie and Freddie are prime examples. That is why I am voting for Bob Barr, because he is the only person running that understands that the government can't fix these problems.

This is the first.

I must say that I have had so much emotion building up in me since the presidential nominees for the two major parties were selected. I have been so angry that everyone looks at these two idiots and think that either of them are fit to lead our country.

First you have Senator Obama. This man thinks that taxing the hell out of the people just so he can turn around and give it to the really poor people is a good idea. Who the hell does he think he is, fucking Robin Hood? He is friends with his preacher of 20 years, who says "God Damn America," and "preaches" that the US Government made the AIDS virus so that way they could hold the black man down. He also claims that minorities have been held down and they deserve something in return for the hardships they were put through. OK now don't get me wrong, slavery was a bad thing, the white guys thought that they could own the black people because they were better than them. I think that the slaves were put through a horrible ordeal and they deserved something in return for the hardships they were put through. Then there was 'forced' segregation. the "colors" where not allowed into the places where "whites" where allowed. they had a tough time and maybe something for them. But the last time I checked, there is nothing keeping the Blacks, Latinos, Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, or women from the same schools, scholarships, colleges, programs, degrees, jobs, promotions, or lifestyles except for themselves. They say that inner city minority children are not getting the education they deserve. I have one thing to say about that, "GO TO THE LIBRARY." It's free. It's in every "inner city." In fact the inner city libraries are way bigger and better stocked than the libraries you will find in the "outer city." OK back to politics. I can spend all day on Senator Obama, but I just have to say that he should not be able to say that minorities are being held down any longer because HE IS RUNNING FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Case closed.

Now to Senator McCain. :chuckles: Where do I begin. The man claims he is an American Hero because he was in the NAVY got into a lot of trouble while training to be a pilot, became a pilot and crashed a plane and then was shot down and was imprisoned for years and made it out alive. Well guess what. I am then also an American Hero. I went into the NAVY right out of High School and got into a lot of trouble, then went to Iraq, then got into more trouble and got a OTH discharge, and made it out alive. I also really hate his stupid ass adds saying shit like the country is in shambles, who should you blame, Barrack Obama. OK he has been a Senator for like 15 minutes. You have been a Senator for like 1,000 years. Who should you blame? Next, he tries to cram it down Americas throat that Obama doesn't have the experience to be the president, while his Vice is younger, and was the Mayor of a city the size of my underwear, and the governor of a State that has more land than any other state but less people than South Dakota. Plus she has only been the Governor for as long as Obama has been a Senator. He's going to die any day now and she will be the President if he wins.

I am so tired of these two idiots I want to leave the country. I do have hope though. I really am looking forward to the fact that which ever one of these dumb asses becomes the president, they will get in there and run this country into the ground. I hate to say it, but both of them are headed in the same direction as the dreaded G.W.B. Neither one of them are going to bring any "CHANGE." So start getting your canned goods now, while you can still afford them, start learning how to bake your own bread and plant your yard with wheat and rice, because we are on our way to a rough 4 years. Then when they are done, hopefully the politicians or the American people will get their heads out of their asses and demand things be done the right way.

I am voting for Bob Barr.
