Well here we are.
A little more than a year after President Obama has taken office and this is where we are. The government has increased our National Debt by almost $2.25 trillion. They have passed a sweeping bill that will require states to expand their Medicaid programs to people who have never and should never be covered by public subsidies. They have also caused an uprising against them, a grassroots movement that is against government intrusion into the public sector, well over exceeding their bounds. It's amazing that people vote for people promising to spread Socialist/Marxist programs and then when they actually do it, they are mad because they didn't understand what it meant when they voted. The media doesn't really help either. They pushed and pushed for this government to be elected, they vilified the opposition and completely ignored the people who were actually telling the American people what was going on and what was going to happen. Then when the people who blindly followed them into Socialism find out what is going on, they get angry and then the media calls them "Racist," "Radical," "Violent," and "Anti-American." Yet only 4 years ago the same media outlets glorified the violent demonstrations, offensive posters, radical messages, and flag burning protests the "Patriotic Americans" were hosting against Bush and his administration. I am a young guy. I haven't been an astute observer of the political battlefield for very long, but I do know that this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I mean really? Can the "Patriotic Americans" protesting just a few years ago really be of know threat when they were actually throwing bags of sand off of highway overpasses, and the "Anti-American" protesters of today be so dangerous because they call the President and his "Regime" Marxist? I can't find a proper parallel between the coverage that is being given to these groups, when they are actually doing the same thing in just a different manner. A few years ago the protests required many police interventions, riot squad call-outs, and tear gas injections. Today's protests have required the brutal force of the event being over and being told to have a nice night to break up the "dangerous mobs." It's amazing that at all of these events, that have been going on since last year, not one riot has broke out and not one person has been injured due to violent demonstrations. I guess I am just too nieve to understand what is an actual threat and what is just hype and spin. Oh well. I am continuing to pray for America, We need it now more than ever.
